The bespoke panoramic wallpaper L'arbre aux secrets brings us to savannah with its warm and earthy colours dominated by ochre and soft yellows.
Among the midst of the splendid baobabs of the African plain overlooked by mountains, animals - giraffe, monkey, elephants, cheetah, antelope, zebra, rhinoceros, lemur, ostrich and flamingos - wonder how to unlock the secret of the tree. The drawing has been worked in watercolour and colored pencils. It has a very slightly veiled effect, faded, which gives it an old character, like an old tapestry. Living room, hallway, child's room or playroom, this custom-made panoramic wallpaper will bring the arid heat of Africa into any room.
The Tree of Secrets is a traditional African tale revisited and published in 2012 by Tanzanian author-illustrator John Kilaka.
As drought and famine struck on the savannah, only one tree continued to bear fruit. But these remain attached to the tree when the animals try to harvest them. The rabbit has the idea to ask for help from the wise turtle. Considered too small to fulfil this mission, the powerful lion and buffalo go. The turtle tells us the secret - the name of the three - but they forgot it on their way back. All the animals go one by one to see the turtle, in order of size, until the little rabbit, who is the only one who will return with the name of the tree.
