The Ammonis pattern wall decor embodies the refinement and opulence inherent in Art Deco. Ammonis, fossils of ammonites, molluscs that disappeared 65 million years ago, reveal a magnificent spiral shell reminiscent of a ram's horn. The assembly of this gently curving pattern reveals a play of shapes and counter-shapes, and a strong, harmonious palette ranging from gold to brown to grey. The shells have been painted in ink and reworked to give them a golden effect, revealing their beauty.
